Ken Udenze doesn't like the word "office" to describe his new workplace. He thinks "office" dates back to pre-Covid times when an employee shows up, doesn't leave his or her workspace and leaves for the day upon completion of the daily tasks. Deloitte's Arizona marketplace leader and managing partner said the firm's new Tempe space on the 18th and top floor at 100 Mill embodies more of a center or community hub. Udenze said a center encourages teammate-to-teammate collaboration, employees moving to different locations within the space when they hit a lull and getting the work done for the day.
